These sets are some of the radios I have obtained from different parts of the world. This is the latest branch of the hobby that I have become excited about.

I want to extend my thanks to the many people who have helped me find radios for my collection from all over the world. Many people from the net have offered me wonderful radios over the years. I wish you good luck in your own hunt!

Radios from the Netherlands

Philips 930A - Manufactured in Holland in 1931. This particular radio is finished in a material called Arbolite which is a composit material having the appearance of Formica. It has 4 tubes.

Because of its unusual styling, it has a nick-name of the 'Canned Ham'. I read an article once where the author called this the worst looking radio that they had ever seen.. To me, I find it quite unusual, and pleasant to the eye.. Just goes to show that tastes in radios can differ greatly. In fact, it was that article which made me check this radio out, and eventually place it on my want list..
